April wrap up

I think partly helped by lockdown, I’ve read more books this month than I had in total for January, February and March put together! Eight books read in total (although that’s now nine as I finished Throne of Glass on the very last day of April!) and one I DNF.

The books I finished were:

Scythe

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The Silent Patient

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Thunderhead

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The Lying Game

Rating: 3 out of 5.

The Toll

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Then She Was Gone

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Elizabeth is Missing

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Hold Back the Tide

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Throne of Glass (which now may be my favourite of the month, if not the year!)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I loved Arc of a Scythe series. Give me all the dystopian fiction!

Books DNF

Sweet Sorrow by David Nicolas. I don’t know if it was because I’d been reading really fast paced books recently but I just couldn’t get into this one. I lasted 100 pages and still nothing had happened. I might try it again maybe?

Books I want to read in May

I have just finished Throne of Glass so definitely want to finish this series, although I might read some books in between so that I don’t rush through it. I also have two books from Book Box Club’s April box to read. I’m contemplating making a to be read jar like I’ve seen others do just to stop me staring at my bookcase for half an hour when trying to decide what to read… Also this might make me read different genres during the month rather than all the dystopians!

What was your favourite book you read this month?
