Books, learning, reading, watching

Life in lockdown

So it looks like I’ll probably be going back to work on the 8th of June after schools finished in the middle of March for lockdown. I have been in a few times but I have been mainly at home! So I thought I would share what I have been doing!

All the books. Since lockdown started I have read (number) of books. I normally only read 1 a week! Some of my favourites have been:

Even though there are loads of new things to watch on Netflix, my brain went “No, let’s do some comfort watching.” So I’ve been rewatching Buffy! I did of course watch Tiger King though.

I did start learning to knit back in January but work got busy so I didn’t pick it up much. Now, I can follow patterns, use two colours, knit and purl on the same row! I’m currently working on a little secret project and I feel like it’s going quite well! I’ve also been following some drawing tutorials. I’m really enjoying the @rebecca_vincent_tattoo weekly tutorials on her Instagram! She does them every Sunday at 5pm (I think. I always catch up the next day!) I would love to get an actual tattoo from her but she’s all the way in London.

I do think I am the only person to not do any baking during this time.

As much as I’m wary of going back to work because it is impossible to make 4,5 and 6 year olds social distance, I also can’t wait as I’ll hopefully be reunited with my year 6 class and all my wonderful colleagues who I have missed greatly! I think I would have gone crazy if I hadn’t had frequent contact with them throughout all of this!

What have you been up to during lockdown?
