Down The TBR Hole #10

I started playing along with this meme after I saw it on Amanda’s blog Literary Weaponry. Time for part ten!

The idea is:

  • You go on to your Goodreads want to read shelf.
  • Order the books so the date ascends.
  • Take the first 5 or however many you want books. If you’re already doing this you start where you left off last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Then decide whether it stays or goes!

Current TBR: 220

Cilka’s Journey by Heather Morris – I loved The Tattooist of Auschwitz, as sad as it was, so when I found that Morris had written another book about Cilka I had to add it. The author has made it clear that this is a work of fiction and is based on other people’s accounts of her life and so there will be inaccuracies. KEEP

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo – This is still everywhere on the Bookstagram scene. Pretty much every day there is a post raving about the Grisha trilogy. I want to see if it lives up to its hype. KEEP

The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black – I don’t know why I add books out of order on here. I do have a physical copy of The Cruel Prince waiting to be read on my bookcase so I’ll wait to see if I like that before deciding whether to keep the sequels on my tbr. KEEP

The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert – Another one that has been all over Bookstagram. Yet another young adult fantasy. You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but this one is beautiful! Looking at the reviews it has either one star or five stars which is a bit confusing. Again I want to see if it lives up to its hype. KEEP

The Mermaid and The Bear by Ailish Sinclair – I discovered this author after she followed my blog! I’m still stunned that some people read my ramblings. Historical fiction set in a period of witchcraft accusations: yes please! It has all the positive reviews on Goodreads too. KEEP

New TBR: 220. Well getting it down to 200 is going to be impossible. I need to actually read the books on my kindle so I can take them off my tbr!
