Books, new books, To read

Birthday Books

I was very lucky that I received a few books for my birthday! Eek, 31… Doesn’t feel that long ago that I was in my early 20s.

My housemates know that the majority of my bedroom is books and one, Amy, knows about this blog and Bookstagram account. She got me one that’s been on my tbr for a while now, Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi and the follow up Children of Virtue and Vengeance. I can’t wait to get to these as I’ve only heard good things about them!

From my other housemate I got All That She Can See by Carrie Hope Fletcher. I hadn’t heard of this one before but seems to be a contemporary with some magic thrown in. It does sound really good. A woman who bakes but adds a touch of magic to her creations. I’m quite excited to get to this one as I follow Fletcher on Instagram and she seems like such a lovely person. Would love to see her on stage too!

Have you read either of these? What did you think?
