Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. Check out her blog for all the prompts!
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is a Spring Clean freebie so I’m going to showcase ten books I’m going to unhaul from my bookcase and either take into work, give to charity or giveaway on my Bookstagram!
House Rules by Jodi Picoult
I love Jodi Picoult (I even did a module at uni on her!) but I’ve reread this a couple of times now and I have so many other books I want to read that I won’t want to reread this yet again.
The Magpie Society – One For Sorrow by Zoe Sugg and Amy McCulloch
I got this is a Book Box Club box and I rated it three stars. It was ok, but I didn’t like it enough to continue with the series.
I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan
I feel so bad about wanting to unhaul this one! I went on a first date and the guy had brought a book for me to borrow! Definite bonus points there! We did go on another date but then it fizzled out. Sums up basically all my dating attempts! But yeah, This has been on my shelf now since then (September 2019…) and I haven’t wanted to pick it up. I think I tried one chapter but just wasn’t feeling it.
Northern Lights by Philip Pullman
The only reason I’m unhauling this is because I managed to pick up the whole trilogy for a bargain from The Works and I just don’t have the space to have multiple copies of the same book. The realities of living in a house-share.
The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult
Yet another Jodi Picoult that has been reread a couple of times but isn’t my favourite of hers so off it goes.
The Deep Blue Between by Ayesha Harruna Attah
Another Book Box read. This was a low four star so I did enjoy it but not enough to reread. Again there are too many new books I want to read to reread this!
Life Of Pi by Yann Martel
The pages of my copy are yellow, that’s how old it is now! It had stayed in my parent’s house when I moved to Bristol (all my belongings in one car) and then I finally brought it up last year after after about 7 years but I’m not particularly wanting to pick it up…
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
So ditto with this one. Reread it loads, left in Cornwall, finally brought it up to Bristol after 7 years but not wanting to pick it up again.
Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult
I liked this one but it felt like quite a slow read. I think I had to read a different book in the middle because I just wanted to read something else! So it definitely won’t be reread.
Ghost Wood Song by Erica Waters
The cover for this one is so beautiful! But I did find it a bit slow and I liked it but didn’t love it so it’s another one I won’t be rereading.
So yeah, some of these I will offer in giveaways and some, which are a bit too old for prizes, are going to be given away to charity (when they’re open) or just taken into school as a free for all in the staffroom!
